POTSDAM — The stage is set for another thrilling season of ECAC Women's Hockey and the league's head coaches have announced the preseason poll and all-league team for the 2024-25 season.

Clarkson University has been chosen to lead the charge in the 2024-25 regular season. After an impressive 2023-24 performance, where they secured second place in the league with an 18-3-1 record, they now enter the new season as the preseason favorites for this year’s campaign.

Colgate, last season's regular season champion with an 18-4-0 record, has claimed second place with 109 points. Cornell followed closely in third, earning 103 points, while St. Lawrence secured fourth with 92 points. Rounding out the top five, Quinnipiac finished strong with 82 points.

The ECAC Women's Hockey Preseason All-League team has also been named, featuring some of the brightest stars in women's collegiate hockey. Dynamic Clarkson forward, Anne Cherkowski, led the team in goals (15) while earning All-District representing Canada in the 2024 Collegiate Series.

Patty Kaz Top-10 Finalist and Second Team All-ECAC forward Abby Hustler led St. Lawrence in goals (24) and assists (31) for the 2023-24 season. Joining Hustler is Cornell forward Lily Delianedis, who earned 34 points in combination with an impressive 381 wins at the face-off dot last season.

Clarkson defender and two-time World Championship medalist Haley Winn leads the pack with a unanimous selection* by the coaches. Winn, a 2023-24 All-ECAC Second Team selection, led her team in assists (29) while tieing for the team lead with 39 points with teammate Nicole Gosling.

Joining Winn on the blue line, Gosling was named ECAC Defender of the Year and helped Team Canada win Gold at the 2024 World Championships.

HCA Goalie of the Year Semifinalist Hannah Murphy (Colgate) wraps up the list of honorees. Last season, Murphy broke her program’s record for most career shutouts (15) with a 5-0 win against Dartmouth.

For a second year in a row, Murphy was recently named to Canada's National Women's Development Team.
