OGDENSBURG -- A Funeral Mass for Mary K. Fredericks Sheneman, age 92, long-time resident of Ogdensburg, NY, and formerly of Port Charlotte, FL, will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery following funeral services.

Mary K. passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Home surrounded by her loving family.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, Ogdensburg.

Mary K. is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Fredericks and his wife, Judy, of Ogdensburg, NY, Eugene Fredericks, Jr. and his wife, Shelley of Punta Gorda, FL, and Matthew Fredericks of North Port, FL; two daughters, Mrs. Randy (Mary Beth) Johnson of Ogdensburg, NY and Mrs. William (Elaine) Seymour of Ogdensburg, NY; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Fredericks of Merritt Island, Florida; step-sons, Jason Sheneman and his wife, Anita, of Claypool, IN and Rod Sheneman of Decatur, IN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary is predeceased by one daughter, Jane Fredericks-Sorrels in 1993; a son, Peter Fredericks in 2017; her brother, Lawrence "Tee" Hutt in 1953 and two sisters, Patricia (Hutt) Manning in 2004 and June M. Jenno in 2020.

Mary K. was born on December 10, 1931, in Ogdensburg, NY, the daughter of the late Delor H. and Jane (Burns) Hutt.

Mary graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and later from the Wallace Secretarial School.

She married Eugene Robert “Corky” Fredericks on December 26, 1951, at Sacred Heart Chapel with Rev. Everett Denesha officiating. He predeceased her on April 18, 2005.

Mary was first employed by Prudential Life Insurance Company and later retired as the City Clerk for the City of Ogdensburg, NY.

Mary later married Tony J. Sheneman on November 6, 2015. He predeceased her on April 17, 2023.

Mary K. found immense pleasure in the art of baking, crafting, and cheering for her beloved NY Giants. Her passion for sports was only surpassed by her love for family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the true treasures of her heart.
