Louise Frances Christensen - Don, 69, Canton

CANTON - Louise Frances Christensen - Don (69), passed away last year on March 8th, 2023.

We were very sad to have to say goodbye to my beautiful Aunt Louise last March.

She passed away from cancer at her home in DelRay Beach with loved ones beside her.
She was the daughter of Francis and Virginia Christensen.

Louise is survived by; husband, Steve Don; son, Wesley Ridout (wife, Meaghan and children, Eli & Zoe), son, Cody Ridout (fiance, Ashley Hansen), son, Daniel Don (wife, Mackenzie and children, Finnie Mae and Jett, daughter, Rebecca Don (fiance, Zachary Croteau); sister, Caroline Christensen Maloney and niece, Joann Maloney Davis (husband, Simon and children, Jack & Harry).

She is predeceased by brother, Eddie Christesen.

Louise attended Hugh C Williams High School, Canton Collage, SUNY Geneseo and completed her masters at SUNY Fredonia. She finished her 30 year teaching career at Indian River High School in Philadelphia, NY. After which she and Steve retired to DelRay Beach Florida.

There she enjoyed the warm weather, walking 6 miles a day. Getting up in the dark of morning, put on her flashing safety vest and walked before the hot Florida sun came out for the day.

I would text her and ask what mile are you on? If there was time I would put on my sneakers and join her for a virtual walk and talk for the last mile or two.

She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Louise was a master at homemade breads and cakes.

She sang, played the piano and saxophone.

Thank you Louise for contributing to all of our character traits we carry with us today.

She is now up in heaven with her mother on the piano, father on the sax and brother, Eddie on the drums. That is some band!
