Kevin Roy Jackson, 64, Potsdam

POTSDAM -- Kevin Roy Jackson ( Kevin was  known by relatives and close friends as Kevey) passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2024, at Upstate Medical in Syracuse, NY, at the age of 64.

 Kevin was born to Donald W. & Marion E. Jackson on October 01, 1959.

 He leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Sue L. Kennedy Jackson, two sons, Lyle and Robert (Gina) Jackson along with three grandchildren, Kristofer Elijah and Marion Jackson. He also leaves behind two brothers, James ( Valerie ), Dale (Debra ) and one sister in law, Donna (Allen) Jackson, several nieces and nephews.

 Kevin loved spending time with his grandchildren.

 During his life, he enjoyed woodworking,fishing, 4 wheeling, and camping.

 He loved hunting most of all.

 Kevin belonged to Ria Packa club as a board member & Sylvan Falls hunting club, which he was on the board and president.

 Kevin was predeceased by his parents and two brothers. Kenneth and Allen Jackson.

 St Lawrence Central was Kevin Alma Mater, and he attended night school at BOCES Norwood. He also attended Suny Canton for Electrical Building and trades he received his Associates degree. He also received his Certificate for Refrigeration.

 He joined the Army in 1978 - 1985 he served in Georgia, Oklahoma, and Germany. After he was discharged, he and his family moved back to NY and made it their home, which they built themselves.

 Kevin was an assistant manager at the Akwesasne Casion in Hogansburg. He worked there 13 years before leaving the work force.

 There will be a celebration of life on August 10th from 1 to 3 pm at their home, 1008 Old Market Road, Potsdam. Everyone is welcome to come.

 Pastor Vernon Bissonette, a friend of the family, will do a short reading and blessing.
