OGDENSBURG -- A disturbance at Price Chopper ended with the arrest of a Kentucky man who possessed multiple firearms, high capacity magazines and a bullet proof vest.
Lavell Z. Grant, 36, Lexington, of Kentucky was charged with fourteen counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree, all (D) Felonies, Criminal Possession of a Firearm a (E) Felony and criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree an (A) misdemeanor.
The wepaons included an AR-15 rifle and a pistol, both of which require permits to possess in New York.
Lavell was arraigned at Ogdensburg City Court on 10/04/2023 and released on his own recognizance.
Police responded to the call Oct. 3, at about 4:30 a.m.
