Kenneth L. Judd, 77, Morristown

MORRISTOWN -- Kenneth L. Judd of Morristown and North Port, Florida, passed away on July 4.

He was born in Wenona, Illinois on April 2, 1947, to Kendall R and Ruby Pratt Judd.

After graduating from Wenona High School, he went to work for John W Hobbs.

In the late 90’s he moved to North Port, Fl to be a caregiver to his mother.

During his years in Holiday Park, he was very active in park affairs. He was on the Board of Trustees for 16 years serving as Vice President.

He also was an active member of the Men’s Club where he was always Chairman of Ticket Sales for the park events. While there, he met Lois Langtry of Morristown, NY and they were married in Morristown on July 7, 2005.

After that they spend summers on the St Lawrence River in Morristown and winters in Holiday Park in North Port, FL. That marriage gained him 2 stepsons, 4 step grandchildren, and 8 step great grandchildren.

An avid golfer all his life, Ken played in courses from the Air Force Academy in Colorado to Pine Hurst in North Carolina and all up and down the Midwest. He had memberships in Spring Valley and Tall Oaks in Illinois and Langbrook Meadows in Brier Hill.

He is survived by his stepsons, Andrew and Deborah Lighfoot Johnson, David and Julie Putman Johnson; 4 step-grands, Andrew Jr. and Darcy Johnson, Hillary and Brett Heaton, Brendan and Rachel Johnson, and Kamdyn Johnson. The 8 step great-grandchildren are Addison Johnson; Rowyn, Knox, Declan, and Haven Heaton; Olivia, London, and Hendricks Johnson. He is also survived by many Judd and Pratt cousins.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Carol Judd Smith, and a former brother-in-law, Don Smith.

Burial was on July 12 in the Cumberland Cemetery, Wenona, Illinois.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 11 at Langbrook Golf Course at 1:00.
