JONESTOWN, PA/BRASHER FALLS, NY -- It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jody Carl Lavine, a beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle. Jody's life journey came to an end, unexpectedly, on May 11, 2024, in Jonestown, PA.

While Jody spent a lot of his career in the armored car industry, he was currently working as Regional General Manager for Easton Coach Co. in East Petersburg, PA.

He truly loved logistics and his commitment to excellence and great leadership qualities made a lasting impact on all those who had the opportunity to work with him. He was a boss to many, but quickly became their friend as well.

He was predeceased by his father, Carl R. Lavine and a brother, Jamey, and his father-in-law, Gerald LaVare.

Due to his great love of hunting and fishing, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to "Freedom Hunters" ( https://freedomhunters.org ).This is a non-profit organization that provides hunting and fishing experiences to veterans both able bodied and disabled, active military, as well as their underage children.

Arrangements are being handled by Hammill Funeral Home, which brings comfort knowing that Mike, Patti, Julie, and Jonathan, who are long-time family friends, are helping to commemorate Jody and honor his memory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday May 29th at 3 pm at St. Patrick Church in Brasher Falls with Fr. Mark Reilly celebrating.
