LISBON -- Jennifer M. Doty, 64, of Lisbon, NY passed away peacefully on the morning of January 2, 2024, surrounded by her family at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center after a lengthy battle with renal disease and more recently, a cancer diagnosis.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, David, of 39 years; two children, Rebecca (Casey) LaPage of Colton, NY, and Aaron (Jessica) Doty of Lisbon, NY.; three biological grandchildren, Zeya LaPage, Anna & Ezra Doty, and 4 bonus grandchildren. She is also survived by her four siblings, Maureen (Rick) Hoxie of NC, Kathleen (James) Amo, and Gregory (Connie) White both of Ogdensburg, and Scott (Melissa) White of New Delhi, India; several nieces and nephews, one being her Godson, Ian J. Amo.
She was predeceased by her parents, Gerald J & Phyllis (Hodgson) White, her father-in-law, Thomas Doty, her grandparents, Gerald P & N. Elizabeth White and James & Mary Ellen Hodgson, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jennifer was born in Ogdensburg, NY on February 5, 1959, to the late Gerald & Phyllis White. She spent her childhood & adolescent years growing up on the family farm near Flackville, NY.
Jen graduated from Lisbon Central School in 1977.
She married David M. Doty on December 22, 1985.
Jen enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes, spending time with her family, rearranging furniture to make her home even cozier than it was the day before, sewing, baking, and Kane Brown’s music.
One thing about Jen – she was a rock for those of us close to her always putting us ahead of herself. Jen cherished her time with her children & grandchildren.
Jennifer was extremely grateful for Dr. Jaitley and team at the Agarwal Renal Center for their exceptional care over the last several years.
There will be a graveside service and Celebration of her Life on June 29, 2024, at a time to be determined.
