HANNAWA FALLS - Graveside services for Jennifer “Jenny” Lynn Liebfred, 45, will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Norwood. Jenny passed away on October 26th at Canton-Potsdam Hospital following a long illness.
Jenny was born on February 1, 1981, to David and Diane Shepard Liebfred. She graduated from Norwood-Norfolk High School, Class of 2000 and devoted her life to raising her beloved daughter, Shanyn, and caring for her cherished animals.
Throughout her life, Jenny faced many challenges, meeting each one with the heart and spirit of a fighter. Her strength and determination were a testament to her resilience, even through the most difficult times.
Jenny leaves behind her beloved daughter, Shanyn Deshane, Hannawa Falls; her longtime companion, David Deshane, Hannawa Falls; her parents, David and Diane Liebfred, Norwood and her sisters, Carol Kench, Ogdensburg, Lee Gollaher, Potsdam and Shannon (Kurt) Russell, Massena and a half-sister, Sherry Kingsley Dawley as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Jenny will be remembered for her fighting spirit, her devotion to her daughter, and the love she had for her animals. Though her life brought many struggles, she continued to face them with strength and perseverance until the end.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
