Jean Murray Pelletier, 94, Norwood

NORWOOD — Jean Murray Pelletier, age 94, passed away peacefully July 14,2024.  She was born 8/13/1929 in Norwood,NY to Earl & Gertrude Henderson Murray. She was married to Kenneth Maxim who preceded her in death in 1951, married to Paul F. Smith divorced in 1958, married to Cecil Stoddard who preceded her in death in 1980, married to Rene Pelletier who preceded her in death in 2014. Son, Brian Pelletier who preceded her in death in 2016.

Jean was employed for years at Clarkson College Potsdam,NY.  She loved bowling, camping, golf and riding her motorcycle. In her later years, she was an avid reader and enjoyed going to church. She lived a full life with many ups and downs which made her strong and independent and had a great sense of humor.

Jean is survived by her two sons, Steve Maxim (wife Gayle), Paul Smith, daughter, Sherry Smith Mackeil (husband Scott Mackeil) daughter in law, Donna Pelletier. Stepdaughter Marcia Stoddard Bradley (husband Alan Bradley), Stepson Raymond Stoddard . Grandchildren Jessica Silbert, Joshua Jacobs,Stephen Pelletier, Sylvia Smith Corscadden, Samuel Smith,Stephen Maxim, Donald Maxim, Tracy Maxim Dunkelberg Step grandchildren, Derek Bradley, Heather Bradley, Alicia Bradley Wood,Lacey Stoddard Peets, Kristin Stoddard Petrie,  Shawn Stoddard and several Great grandchildren. Two sister-in-laws, Mary Murray and Connie Murray Lytle.

There will be an intimate gathering for family and friends to share our memories and farewell to our beloved mother on August 13, 2024 from 7 to 9pm at the Potsdam Elks Lodge 10 Elm Street Potsdam,NY.
