GOUVERNEUR – The Gouverneur Fire Company will host a fireworks display on Wednesday, July 3rd at dusk. The 146th annual event will be held at the Gouverneur Fair Grounds with plenty of food vendors on site. Bring a blanket, chairs, tailgate, or view from the seated grandstand area. Donations will be requested at gate entrances. Gates open at 5 pm.
Personal fireworks and flares are not permitted. Public restrooms at the Fairground will be open in addition to port-a-pottys on site.
All North Country residents and visitors are urged to support the local vendors on site, selling pulled pork, Italian sausage, poutine, hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ, pizza, fried dough, fresh cut fries, cotton candy, candy apples, popcorn, cheesecake on a stick, toys, glow sticks, and more. 50-50 tickets available for purchase at the firemen’s tent
If interested in having a spot at the show, please reach out to the Gouverneur Fire Department at 315-287-1537. All vendors need to provide proof of insurance and fee per spot on the grounds.
