Gary L. Trippany, 72, Massena

Massena - Gary L. Trippany, 72, of Massena passed away at Massena Hospital on July 19, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Gary was born on September 4, 1951 in Massena NY, the oldest son of the late Lawrence Trippany and Beulah (Wilkins) Trippany. He attended Massena Schools and graduated from Holy Family High School in 1970. He married Lynn M. Eggleston on April 27, 1973 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massena.

Gary worked as a pot tender at Reynold’s Metals for 28 years, retiring in 1998. In his healthier years, he enjoyed camping, gardening, woodworking and canoeing.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Lynn; his children, Patrick (Kateri) of Galway NY, Kristy of Tampa Florida, Andy (Kelli) of Rotterdam, NY; his grandchildren, Patrick Jr, Matthew, Sarah, Zachary, and Henry; his mother, Beulah; and his siblings; Kevin (Kimberly), Michael (Jeannine); and Sheila (Steve) Flynn; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Lawrence and his father-in-law, Paul Eggleston.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in Massena. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gary’s name to the Massena Rescue Squad.
