MASSENA — Massena Fall Fest: Pumpkin-palooza drew an estimated 3,000 people in downtown Massena Saturday, October. 12.

Over 50 local vendors and artisans lined Main Street, along with six food trucks and two breweries.

Gypsy Road Band, Lacey Rae, Chris Cole, and Dad Bods performed on the Main Street stage throughout the day, providing a lively atmosphere for festival-goers.

Children’s activities included a costume parade, bounce houses, face painting and more.

Highway to Horror set up a haunted attraction in the Schine Theater for attendees as well.

Shelyn Peets, a Massena Village Board Trustee, helped start the event last year.

After organizing a successful Massena community downtown vendor event two years ago, Peets was asked for an event to occur annually and seasonally.

“I thought Fall would be a perfect time. I contacted a few people to sit in on a committee to help with my idea and Massena Fall Fest- Pumpkin Palooza 2023 was held and returned this year in 2024,” said Peets.
