MORRISTOWN – St. Lawrence County motorists should expect periodic traffic stoppages on State Route 58 near the Chippewa Creek bridge next week.
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) says to expect stoppages of up to 15 minutes in the vicinity of the bridge between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
The stoppages are necessary to facilitate the placement of concrete as part of an ongoing bridge replacement project.
Schedule is subject to weather.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
