To the Editor:
We, the people of Emmanuel Congregational United Church of Christ, of Massena, seek to provide a safe space to journey through life together. Recently, we made a commitment to offer companionship and compassion for individuals and/or their families living with mental health challenges.
We have created time, space and structure for a mental health support group that is open to the community. This is not a group therapy setting. It is simply a place to share information, ideas and feelings with each other, as well as offering support, respect and acceptance of each person.
We will meet Wednesday evenings at 7 pm. The meeting will take place upstairs in the Unity Room at Emmanuel Congregational UCC, located at 39 W Orvis St., Massena, NY.
