Darwin was born on January 23, 1945, to the late Chester and Barbara (Siltz) Hull and graduated from St. Lawrence Central High School.

Throughout his life, Darwin was known for his love of the outdoors, especially his passion for fishing and spending time at camp, particularly up in the mountains where he found solace and joy.

It also should be recognized that he had an impressive collection of hats, regardless of the logo or sports team.

Darwin began his career at Reynolds Metals before transitioning to cutting pulp and eventually dedicating many years to his role as a skilled painter.

His commitment to his craft and his tireless work ethic made Darwin a respected member of the painting industry.

He was a member of the St. Regis Falls Sportsman’s club, Trout Brook Club, and the Tri-Town Trailblazers snowmobile club.

Darwin is survived by his 3 sons, Robert Hull and his wife, Bobbi of North Lawrence, Bryan Hull and his wife, Norine of Winthrop, and James Hull and his wife, Christy of E. Wenatchee, WA.; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; his sister, Nancy (Dick) Eakins of Hopkinton, a brother, Jerry Hull of Alabama; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, Darwin was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Hull.

A graveside service to honor Darwin will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday June 7, 2024, at Forest Cemetery in St. Regis Falls.

As we gather to bid farewell to Darwin, let us celebrate his life well-lived, his passion for nature, and his dedication to his craft.

May his spirit live on in the beauty he created and the memories he shared with all who knew and loved him.

Darwin Hull will be deeply missed but remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Darwin’s honor to the Tri Town Trailblazers, Hospice and Palliative Care, or to E-town Hospital.
