MADRID -- Curtis M. Connor, age 66, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday June 30, 2024, at Upstate Medical University Hospital.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Phillips Memorial Home in Madrid.
Curt was born in Colton, NY to the late Donald J. and Doris E. (Matott) Connor on August 4, 1957. He attended Madrid-Waddington schools and was later married to Deborah Montroy, who predeceased him.
Curt enjoyed reading books, watching television, and spending time with friends and family. He worked for several years as a self-employed handyman. Curt had a life-long love of dogs and shared his home with many throughout the years.
Curt is survived by his brothers James Connor of Madrid, NY and William and wife Vicki Connor of Massena, NY, and sister Donna Dardaris and husband David of Ballston Spa, NY, along with his beloved nieces Kathryn and Erin Connor and nephew Seth Connor, who enjoyed their uncle’s humor and his affectionate texts. He also leaves several great-nieces and great-nephews and his last K-9 companion “Astro”.
In addition to his parents and wife, Curt was predeceased by his sister, Diane Conran.
