COLTON – Runners, bicyclists and paddlers of all ages participated in the Higley Flow State Park Fall Festival on Saturday, Sept. 14.
Proceeds from the park’s first ever fall festival will benefit the efforts of the Friends of HFSP to support activities at the park and to encourage more people to enjoy the park in all seasons.
There were 87 participants, sprinkled across the many activities.
A 5k, 10k and kids’ 1k run took place on the many trails at Higley Flow State Park.
A 50k road bike tour, mountain bike tour, kids’ bike rodeo, guided canoe/kayak paddles and walks were also offered.
An historian’s presentation of the park by Mary Jane Watson was given at the lodge at noon.
The Big Spoon Food Truck offered refreshments.
The event was sponsored by The Friends of Higley Flow State Park.
