MASSENA – A second “community listening session” on poverty will be held Thursday, Oct. 10, from 5-7:30 p.m., at the Massena Housing Authority, 20 Robinson Road.
The community dinner and conversation hosted by the St. Lawrence County People Project, the NC Poor Peoples' Campaign, the Schuyler Center for Analysis and Advocacy, and the Labor Religion Coalition of NYS, is free and open to the public.
After sharing a meal, the groups will report on common themes that emerged from its listening session and other similar events elsewhere in the state, hear experiences and insights from directly impacted community members, and talk about possible solutions.
Childcare will be provided and transportation assistance will be available.
