CANTON – A Canton Safety Night for Youth and Adults will be held Thursday, Jan. 25 from 6-7 p.m. at the Canton Recreational Pavilion.
Black Belt Instructors of American Kang Duk Won Karate will present a "Personal Safety Seminar" for youth and adults.
Topics will include methods effective in gaining safety-awareness, skills in avoiding aggressors, and techniques for improving overall fitness and flexibility.
The Safety Night is free for all who wish to attend. Personal safety materials will be available to families for further discussion with their children.
Weekly training sessions are also available for children (ages 6-12 yrs), 5-6 p.m., and for teens, college students, and adults, 6:15-7:15 p.m.
The ongoing lessons emphasize the "Art of Karate." Memberships allow students to attend all weekly North Country programs. For further information contact Program Director, Frank Palumbo, 315-854-6880.
