OGDENSBURG -- Funeral services for Butch Brothers, age 51, of Ogdensburg, will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Frary Funeral Home with Bruce LaRose officiating.

Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Burial will follow the service in Ogdensburg Cemetery.

Celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge in Ogdensburg at 3:00 PM.

Mr. Brothers passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by the love of his life, Billie-Jo Brenno; his daughters, Alysha Troiano and her husband, Dave, of Ogdensburg and Alexis Brothers and her companion, Matt Geary; his mother, Lillian Brassard; his dear sister, Carol Brothers and her companion and Butch’s life-long best friend, Vic Gagnon; his siblings, Jay Brothers, Diana Matthews, James Phillips, Jeff Phillips, Eric and Mallory Brothers, Mike Youngs, Amiee Brothers and their companions; his mother-in-law, Elaine Brenno; and his beloved friend and dog, Bo Brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father, Ernest Brothers and cherished nephew, Geoffrey Brenno.

Butch was born on March 12, 1973, in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of Ernest Brothers and Lillian Brassard.

He graduated from Heuvelton Central School in 1993 where he met his life partner, Billie-Jo Brenno.

He worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator and spent the last 10 years working for Richardson & Sons.

Work was not merely a means to an end for Butch; it was a source of pride. He thrived at his job, where his dedication and expertise really showed.

In his leisure time, Butch found joy on the water, where he spent countless hours boating.

Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with loved ones. He cherished moments surrounded by friends and family, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Ogdensburg Cancer Treatment Center.
