Ayden J. Buffham, 19, Louisville

LOUISVILLE – Ayden J. Buffham, 19, of Willard Road, tragically passed away Monday, July 22, 2024 following a boating accident.

Ayden was born in Massena on February 12, 2005, the son of Jeremy and Nikki (Sochia) Buffham. He attended Massena Central Schools, where he graduated in 2022.

Ayden worked for a time at The Ole Smokehouse in Madrid and Losurdo Cheese in Heuvelton. Most recently, he was working as a night stocker at Price Chopper.

Ayden was an outdoor explorer who loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, do gardening, and ride his ATV.

He also had a generous spirit and kind heart who would help anyone in their time of need.

Ayden is survived by his parents, Jeremy and Nikki; his brother and best friend, Bryce; his grandparents, Leo Sochia and Joe and Bobbi Buffham, all of Massena; his great grandparents, Jane Sochia of Brasher, Sylvia MacPherson of Massena, and Martha Buffham of Potsdam; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandmother, Kim Sochia in 2023; his great grandfathers, Larry Sochia, George MacPherson, and Wesley Buffham.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena, where services were held privately.

A celebration of his life will be held at his home, 142 Willard Road, at a time to be announced in August.
