I live in the Village of Potsdam and I am, on Jan. 14, running a quarter-inch stream of cold water to prevent the water supply lines from the main in the street from freezing in this extreme cold spell. Is the Village of Potsdam going to adjust the astronomical water bills, which will be due later? It has in the past when it has given notice of the need to run the water. This preventive action reduces or eliminates the need for the village crews thawing frozen lines, which is a project. I hope the village gives that general notice to run cold water. The village administrator does not live in the village, so he may not be aware of this problem.
