POTSDAM - Whether you are in need of seeing a provider in-person, or are showing signs of possible COVID-19 symptoms, St. Lawrence Health System (SLHS) is continuing to update its operations to assure community members get the care they need, while being kept safe.
The public is reminded that visitor restrictions are still in effect, and are asked to consult the "Visitor Restrictions" section of our website at https://www.stlawrencehealthsystem.org/alert for more information.
St. Lawrence Health System has established technological and parking efficiencies so patients who require an in-person visit will not be placed in a waiting room, or be interacting with other patients.
Face masks are now required at St. Lawrence Health System hospitals and healthcare provider offices. The System is requiring all staff, patients, and visitors to wear a face covering or mask to slow the spread of COVID-19. We ask that you please bring your own face mask/covering to wear while at one of our facilities, and a limited amount of face masks may be available to patients and visitors.
If you are showing any sign of possible COVID-19 symptoms, you are reminded to refrain from going to a clinic or hospital to be tested; rather, please contact your local health care provider or call the System’s dedicated COVID-19 Hotline at (315) 261-6240, or St. Lawrence County Department of Health at (315) 229-3448 to inquire about a COVID-19 testing appointment. The Hotline takes appointments Monday - Friday, 8 a.m until 4 p.m. If you meet testing criteria, you will be directed to one of our local testing sites.
Details on the System’s Testing Centers, Preparedness, and COVID-19 may be found online at https://www.stlawrencehealthsystem.org/coronavirus-disease-covid-19.
Help keep St. Lawrence County informed
Until now, advertising has provided the income to pay our news staff. But with a cutback in advertising due to the COVID-19 crisis, our ability to continue free news coverage is threatened.
