St. Lawrence County expected to see widespread snow, sleet and rain showers through Saturday, forecasters say
Widespread snow and mixed precipitation will advance into St. Lawrence County today and tonight before tapering off on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A significant wet snowfall is expected across higher terrain, especially in central and southern counties, NWS says.
Snow is likely before 10 a.m. before turning into a mix of snow and rain between 10 a.m. and noon and then just rain after noon, the service says.
Highs today will be near 40 with less than an inch of snow accumulation possible.
Rain and sleet are forecasted for this evening with 100 percent probability with an inch of sleet accumulation expected, NWS says.
Saturday will likely see a mix of sleet, snow and rain before 10 a.m., then rain and snow between 10 a.m. and noon with rain possible in the afternoon.
Highs Saturday will be near 40 with less than a half inch of snow and sleet accumulation possible, the service says.
Quiet weather returns by Sunday into Monday before additional chances of rain and snow arrive by the middle of next week.

A chance of rain and snow showers before 8pm, then a chance of snow showers between 8pm and 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Partly sunny, with a high near 45. West wind 5 to 9 mph.
