POTSDAM — A Potsdam Central senior raised money for the Potsdam Snack Pack Program through a student lacrosse game.
Josie Brusso, a senior at Potsdam High School, is shown above presenting a check for $130 to Potsdam Snack Pack Program Coordinator Laurell Brault.
Brusso worked at the Potsdam Recreation program for two years, and saw first-hand how much the kids rely on the extra food items, a press release from the snack pack program said. For her senior project, Brusso organized a boys versus girls lacrosse game to raise money. Each player donated about $5 each to participate in the event.
Brault says she continues to be inspired by the response from the young people in the community, and how much they care about helping their peers.
