POTSDAM – Board Certified Physician Assistant Joshua Tulloch has joined the medical team at St. Lawrence Health’s Canton-Potsdam Hospital in the Surgical Department.
Tulloch decided to call the North Country home again after many years of being away, and is excited to be serving the community at Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH).
"The North Country is where I call home. I spent my entire life growing up here prior to joining the Marines. It is an honor to become a medical provider for Canton-Potsdam Hospital in the same community that took care of me for so many years,” Tulloch said.
"My wife Ann Tulloch, PA-C; my father Michael Tulloch, MD; and my sister Anna Molinero, RN, all work here at CPH,” he added. “My entire family cares about this community, and despite taking different paths, we eventually found our way back home to work here in medicine. It is really special to be working in the same area together."
Prior to becoming a PA, Tulloch served in the United States Marine Corps in amphibious assault for six years. He completed two deployments out of Camp Pendleton and Quantico before he was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain.
After the service, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship through the United States Department of Homeland Security to be an ambassador in Prague, Czech Republic. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and California Academy of Physician Assistants.
As a surgical physician assistant, Tulloch will assist surgeons with more complex procedures in the operating room, and will provide care for patients throughout their procedure until they are discharged.
