New Beginnings in Madrid meets NNYCF $10,000 endowment match challenge

MADRID — New Beginnings Clothing and Food Outreach recently fulfilled a $10,000 matching challenge to build its permanent endowment at the Northern New York Community Foundation.

The effort builds upon a nonprofit partnership established between the two organizations in 2017. The New Beginnings Clothing and Food Outreach Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation is designed to support the organization’s mission to serve the community in perpetuity. Gifts may be made to the endowment at any time or included as a charitable giving option in estate planning.

The Community Foundation’s commitment to New Beginnings started in 2013 with a $10,000 grant to help the organization complete its building project.

New Beginnings credited the generosity and support of Charles and Linda Goolden to start its relationship with the Community Foundation and create a collaborative endeavor to help serve those in need across St. Lawrence County, a press release from the organization said.

Contact Max DelSignore, Community Foundation assistant director, 315-782-7110, or max@nnycf.org, to learn more about the New Beginnings Clothing and Food Outreach Endowment Fund.
