MASSENA – The Massena Meals On Wheels will hold its annual Meals On Wheels Day on Friday, Sept. 29.
The fundraiser will include “Stock the Pot”, donations, and Spaghetti and Meatballs Lunch/Dinner.
Massena Meals on Wheels has been challenged for the third year by Northern NY Community Foundation to collect $2,500 in its “Stock the Pot” roadside collection by
noon, Friday, Sept. 29. If “Stock the Pot” reaches $2,500 collected by noon,
$2,500 will be matched by the Northern NY Community Foundation.
Drive on by Sept. 29 and help Massena Meals on Wheels reach its goal by making a contribution.
Make a pledge in person, or mail your donation to 70 East Hatfield St., Massena. “Stock the Pot” will continue throughout the day with a roadside collection, where donations will be accepted on East Hatfield St. from 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m.
The fourth annual Spaghetti and Meatballs Lunch/Dinner will be available Friday,
Sept. 29, with take-out meals only. Pick up times are from 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m, at the Massena Meals on Wheels building, 70 East Hatfield St., across from Massena Electric. The best way to be sure to get your meals is to pre-order by calling Massena Meals On
Wheels at 315.769.5083. Drive-up orders are also welcome.
The meal includes spaghetti, meatballs & sauce, tossed salad, Italian bread & butter,
and a gourmet cupcake. Cost is $10 per meal.
Orders will be packaged for curbside pick-up only.
Meals On Wheels Day will benefit the Massena Meals On Wheels Program. It is a private, not-for-profit, agency that provides meals to the elderly, home-bound, sick, and handicapped people in the greater Massena area. It helps individuals maintain their independence by providing meals 5 days a week, delivered by caring volunteers who make personal contact with each client daily.
The Meals on Wheels Board thanks the community for its continued support again this as the Massena Meals On Wheels program continues to serve the community.
