GOUVERNEUR – A Gouverneur man was sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail Sunday after struggling with a sheriff’s deputy.
Nada D. Blackman, 37, of 152 West Main St., Gouverneur, was charged with felony second degree assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, deputies said.
Deputies responded after a concerned citizen reported a domestic incident occurring on West Main Street.
Deputies said he was belligerent with a deputy and struggled with the deputy before being taken into custody.
He was arraigned in Fowler Town Court before being sent to jail.
