OGDESNBURG — The Charles W. Kelly Memorial Park Committee is launching a community-wide fundraising campaign to erect a memorial at the former Hamilton Street Park.
The committee is working with landscape architect, Edward M. Basta, to develop a fitting monument that would be located across from St. Mary’s Cathedral, not far from where Kelly lived.
As part of the committee’s effort, they are asking for contributions in memory of a North Country citizen who spent his life demonstrating how dedicated volunteers can make a difference in the life of a community.
Donations can be sent to: Kelly Park, C/O Thomas A. Hannan, 814 Greene St., Ogdensburg, 13669. For more information, contact Tom Hannan at 315-250-1250 or Deb Hannan at 315-528-6046.
