CANTON – The Community Health Center in Canton will get building upgrades, thanks to a recent award of $637,830 from the American Rescue Fund.
“The Community Health Center of the North Country team is very happy to receive the funding from the American Rescue Plan Capital Improvement Award. It will allow for long overdue upgrades to our health center in Canton,” said Ray Babowicz, director of communications for Community Health Center of the North Country.
Nearly $1 billion in American Rescue Plan Funds to Modernize Health Centers and Support Underserved Communities was announced Sept. 28. The funds will be given to 1,292 health centers.
“Work planned includes fresh paint and flooring throughout the facility along with improvements to our Dental suites and Behavioral Health consultation rooms. Overall, it will lead to a much more efficient use of the space, allowing for more convenient access and an improved patient experience throughout the facility,” Babowicz said.
