Opinion: Norfolk Raymondville Food Pantry appreciates NNYCF grant

To the Editor:

The Norfolk Raymondville Food Pantry would like to thank the Northern New York Community Foundation for its grant of $1000 toward the purchase of food. Using these funds, we are able to purchase food from the Food Bank of Central New York, specifically meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, canned goods, cereals and breads, dairy products and peanut butter, as well as dry goods such as pancake mix, pasta, and rice.

The Norfolk-Raymondville Food Pantry is a five day pantry, providing 15 meals per family member on our distribution days (the 3rd Saturday of each month, 9-11 am). We are also available for emergency food calls, making arrangements to meet at a mutually convenient time. Our pantry exists solely due to the generosity of our donors, and the grants received. It is housed in the Norfolk United Methodist Church.

The volunteers and clients of the Norfolk-Raymondville Food Pantry gratefully acknowledge this generous gift.
