To the Editor:

Wow, it is really crazy what one can learn with a computer and a search engine. Alex Lesyk is a hypocrite. Lesyk has implied that Family Court candidate Andrew Moses was somehow disloyal to child victims because he has represented parole violators. This is despite the fact Mr. Moses devoted a large share of his career to working as an Attorney for Children. Under our Constitution every American is entitled to representation when their freedom is at stake. There is nothing morally wrong with doing a hard job that is necessary for our system of government to function but there is a lot wrong with being a hypocrite. Here are some of those annoying facts.

• In People of the State of New York vs. Howard Lamica, (2012), Alex Lesyk represented the defendant on his appeal. The Defendant had been convicted of three counts of sexual abuse of a seven year old victim.  Lesyk worked to reverse the conviction and set a child molester free. 

• In People of the State of New York vs. Jason Cullen (2012), Alex Lesyk represented the defendant on his appeal. The defendant had been convicted of forcible touching and assault in satisfaction of a rape indictment.  Lesyk worked to get the conviction reversed and set a rapist free. 

• In the Matter of Iryanna I. (Benjamin K.) (2015), Alex Lesyk represented on appeal, a respondent who derivatively neglected, abused and/or severely abused a child.  

• In the Matter of Harmony P. v. Christopher Q (2012), and again in the Matter of Jayden J. (Johanna Kk) (2012), Alex Lesyk represented on appeal, respondents who had been found to have permanently neglected children in St. Lawrence County.

Alex Lesyk was not working to protect children in any of those cases. He was in fact working in stark contrast to his currently stated beliefs. When it comes to issues of credibility, actions speak louder than words, and intent can be inferred from those actions. Why would a candidate who cares about St. Lawrence County and its people spend half of the last decade working in Franklin County? Why would a candidate run for Judge when he knows he will have to step down in only half a term because of his age? Why would a candidate be working so closely with Nicole Duve when the people of St. Lawrence County have on two consecutive occasions  clearly demonstrated that they do not want her in public office?

The answer is obvious. Alex Lesyk doesn’t care about the people of St. Lawrence County at all and his true loyalty is to an interloping Franklin County political cabal, of which he is a part! Judge Main from Franklin County has had Nicole Duve, Shannon Bressett, John Richey, and now Alex Lesyk as his Court Attorneys. John Richie is the current St. Lawrence County surrogate judge. Shannon Bressett is the current St. Lawrence County support magistrate. Nicole Duve is the former district attorney and Alex Lesyk will probably make her his Court Attorney if he wins. That leads to another important question. Why is a leftist political alliance originating in Franklin County operating so aggressively in St. Lawrence County? Please vote for Andrew Moses!
