POTSDAM -- SUNY Potsdam student Ryan Potter and St. Lawrence County League of Women Voters member and SUNY faculty member Jessica R. Heffner held a voter registration drive as part of the National Voter Registration Day events last month.
They registered 75 new voters and passed out 77 absentee ballot applications at SUNY Potsdam.
At the SUNY Canton NVRD event, League members registered 72 new voters and 10 absentee ballot applications were handed out in Southworth Library.
Oct. 11 is the deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 5 election.
