MASSENA—The New York Power Authority sponsors the annual Dam 4-Miler road race Saturday, Sept. 10, at Hawkins Point Visitors Center in Massena.
A $20 registration fee will be used to benefit the American Red Cross Program. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Visitors Center. The first 150 registrants will receive long-sleeved T-shirts. Participants may walk or run the four-mile course. Timed runners will begin at 10 a.m. and walkers at 10:15 a.m.
After the Dam 4-Miler, visitors can visit exhibits at the Visitors Center, which presents information on such subjects as electricity generation and NYPA’s St. Lawrence-FDR Power Project. Visitors can also enjoy the panoramic views of the power dam. The visitors center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Columbus Day.
