POTSDAM — Allison Carney of Brick & Mortar Music, along with Larry and Pam Hazen of Hazen Enterprises and volunteers, are coordinating a live music concert fundraiser for the Ukrainian people.
"Potsdam Stands with Ukraine" will be held all day on March 26 at Maxfields, 5 Market St.
The event will feature live music, Ukrainian food, raffles, and remarks from members of the local Ukrainian community.
“The Northern New York Community supports the people of Ukraine and those in our local area impacted by this devastating violence. As the military invasion in Ukraine escalates, millions of people are facing a serious humanitarian crisis and are in urgent need of assistance,” said the event website (see below).
Organizers are collecting donations for Ukraine at the event on on the website.
Donations from the local community go to the Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund and supports humanitarian assistance in Ukraine and surrounding regions where refugees have fled. This fund, established by Global Giving, provides essential resources for life-saving work and relief to threatened and displaced communities, the website said.
