A winter weather advisory is in effect for St. Lawrence County though 5 p.m. today as mixed precipitation continues to fall across the region, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Forecasters say total accumulation could be up to six inches in parts of the North Country with a light glaze of ice possible.

Slippery roads, driveways and sidewalks are likely.

A period of moderate snow is expected between until noon today, before ending this

afternoon, NWS says.

The high temp today will be around 31 and the overnight low will be around 18, the service says.
