OGDENSBURG — WellNow Urgent Care, a national conglomerate of urgent care providers, opened the doors to its newest center in Ogdensburg on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

The Ogdensburg location will be one of more than 180 centers the company runs in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

WellNow runs 75 centers in New York alone, including one in Massena at Harte Haven Shopping Center, and one in Watertown on Arsenal Street.

The center will not be affiliated with St. Lawrence Health.

Located at 725 Canton Street, the new facility offers treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, COVID-19 testing and treatment, and occupational medicine services Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The new center in Ogdensburg will provide treatment for ailments such as sprains, burns, lacerations, colds, flu and allergies, as well as on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals. Occupational medicine services, including Workers’ Compensation assistance, pre-employment physicals, drug and alcohol testing and more are also available on a walk-in basis.

Patients can simply walk in or, if preferred, schedule a visit online.

COVID-19 testing is available at all WellNow Urgent Care locations. Patients who receive a positive COVID-19 test result and meet the necessary medical criteria may be prescribed an antiviral medication such as Paxlovid.
