POTSDAM — A change order on new storm windows for the Potsdam Public Museum, an easement for a local utility supplier, and several personnel issues were recently approved by the village board.
The resolutions were approved by the village board of trustees and the mayor at their meeting June 17.
Under the change order passed by the board, Continental Construction LLC will supply six storm windows for the museum for $13,874.
The windows are to be installed by village employees and equipment and paid for with a state Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Grant.
The board and mayor also granted an easement to Liberty Utilities Corp. at a property at 3 Elm St.
A retroactive salary approval was voted in at the June 17 meeting as well. Village officials approved an annual salary of $50,753.25 for Potsdam Museum director Trevor Blank.
The trustees and mayor also voted to approve the appointment of Hans Kuno as full time Museum Aide with the Potsdam Public Museum at an annual salary of $31,500 retroactively effective June 1.
Amber R. Crosslin’s membership into the Potsdam Fire Department was also approved. Crosslin had already secured a favorable vote of the department and passed a physical exam.
An easement was also approved to local natural gas supplier Liberty Utilities Corporation to allow installation of pipeline and other utility infrastructure at 3 Elm Street.
According to resolution, the easement allows Liberty “exclusive right-of-way and easement on, over, across, under and through the Easement Area to construct, operate, maintain, inspect, patrol; the right to install all necessary service connections from the Easement Area, to include: excavation, restoration, piping, meters, regulators, and all other appurtenances…”
