POTSDAM —  A local children’s author has recently published a magical fantasy adventure for middle-grade children.

Teri Blair, of Potsdam, self-published her debut novel, “The Ravenheart Quest” through Amazon in April, 2026.

The book follows three siblings as they meet fairies, dragons , goblins, trolls, giant spiders and witches on their journey to rescue their parents from an evil queen.

It is a story of courage and discovering inner strength from the power and love of family members working together.

Reviewers described the book as a heartwarming tale, filled with cliffhangers, twists and turns. It is a book the reader won’t be able to put down, several said.

The paperback book can be ordered through Amazon for $9.99,  or as  an ebook through Amazon Kindle for $2.99.

“I have been an aspiring author since I was in elementary school. Writing has always been my escape,” said Blair, a teacher’s aide at Potsdam elementary school.

Blair has also written “My Brain is a Zoo”, a  young children’s picture book, now in the process of being reprinted with new illustrations.

“I wrote it to help children understand the power of words and how to keep certain thoughts  to themselves if the words would hurt others’ feelings,” said Blair.
