CANTON — The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with several regional organizations, will host the 2026 Annual Spring Business Resources Mixer on Wednesday, April 29, at the Best Western University Inn.
The event is designed to strengthen the rural region by providing local leaders with tailored solutions and a comprehensive range of resources for entrepreneurs. Organizers say the mixer will address specific challenges identified by regional business leaders and offer tools for sustainable growth.
“We urge entrepreneurs and business leaders of the region to attend this invaluable event,” said Ben Dixon, executive director of the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. “This mixer provides access to numerous business support organization representatives, an expert panel sharing insights and advice, and unparalleled networking opportunities with dozens of other business leaders.”
The event will feature a panel of local business leaders discussing how they successfully navigated the regional landscape and which resources they used. Panelists include: Clark and Yen Maine, co-owners of Nature’s Storehouse and Adirondack Fragrance Farm; Bill Fiacco, co-owner of the Gristmill Brewery in Massena and Michelle Matthews, chief corporate services officer for United Helpers.
In addition to the panel discussion, attendees will have opportunities for one-on-one conversations with representatives from organizations that provide essential business resources and services. The event will also offer networking opportunities for entrepreneurs and regional partners.
The mixer is organized by a collaborative group that includes the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, New York Power Authority, North Country SBDC at SUNY Canton, SLL BOCES, the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, the St. Lawrence County Workforce Development Board and SUNY Canton.
Sponsors for the 2026 mixer include AmeriCU Credit Union, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, NBT Bank, the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency, LaBella Associates, Bill Rapp Chevrolet of Ogdensburg, Empire State Mines, Cornell Cooperative Extension and C2AE.
