LOUISVILLE – Proceeds from the Turtle Trot Walk-Run event held July were donated to the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department. The event raised $8,806.
In-Law Brewing also donated 50 percent of their race day sales of $172 to the fire department, bringing the total to $8,978.
The LVFD will use the money raised by the Turtle Trot Walk-Run for the purchase of an Amkus tool.
An Amkus is a battery powered line extraction tool for fire rescue used in conjunction with the Jaws of Life.
