The Massena, Canton, and Potsdam locations of Triple A Hardware Do it Best Building Centers are getting interior redesign work and exterior facelifts.

Owner Robert Ashley said the Potsdam store, on State rt. 56, is getting the exterior work done first. They will soon have a new road sign up, too.

“We’re dressing them all up to get under the same company image,” Ashley said.

The Canton store, at 25 Commerce Lane, and the Massena store, at 3 Malby Ave., will be getting the same treatment, Ashley said. The work on the Canton store will start in two or three weeks and at the Massena store in five to six weeks.

Several local contractors are involved in the work. They and local store personnel worked on the interiors.

Ashley said “every department -- plumbing, electrical, power tools, building materials” got a similar treatment to better identify the chain brand and improve displays.

Ashley said he was very appreciative of the cooperation the store managers have been giving him during the work, which naturally upset the routines at the stores.
