MASSENA — The Town Council will hold a special meeting for a public hearing on the East Massena waterline replacement project.
It will be Jan. 27 at 4 p.m. broadcast live over the Town of Massena Facebook page.
Highway Superintendent Frank Diagostino told the board that it will mostly replace existing water lines in the areas of North Raquette Road, state Route 131 and the Trippany Road area.
The project has been in the works for several years. Councilors applauded taking another step toward getting it done.
“It’s a long time coming,” Councilor Sam Carbone said. “A lot of hoops to jump through to help make it cost effective.”
“People will be very happy when that’s done,” Councilor Sue Bellor said.
