MALONE -- After a short cold snap and six inches of natural powder, Titus Mountain will open their mountain on Friday for night skiing and riding.
It will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. with $10 lift tickets on Friday. They plan to stay open through the weekend with normal operating hours.
Titus Mountain saw their first snowfall in early November as well as below-freezing temperatures to allow snow-making, but the recent warm weather didn’t allow for further expansion of snowmaking.
Conditions will be available for opening weekend each morning by visiting www.TitusMountain.com. Continued hours of operation and opening days can be found online.
“Credit truly goes to our snowmakers and groomers for this feat,” Brittany Taylor, director of marketing at Titus, said in a news release. “I think everyone was pushing for this weekend for opening, but without our mountain operations team it wouldn’t have happened.”
