POTSDAM — SUNY Potsdam will hold its commencement ceremony Saturday, May 20.
The ceremony will begin around 10:15 a.m. in the Academic Quad.
A decision to move the ceremony inside will be made no later than 6 a.m. on Saturday only if extreme weather conditions are forecast (lightning, freezing temperatures, etc). If the emergency plan is implemented, an email will be sent to all graduates, and an announcement will be made on local radio stations.
At approximately 1 p.m. a reception hosted by the Alumni Association, with refreshments will be held on the other side of the Lougheed Learning Commons, beyond Minerva Plaza. Graduates, families and friends are invited to meet with faculty and staff and to celebrate the Class of 2023.
A breakfast is planned at Thatcher Dining Hall from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Starbucks in Barrington Student Union will be open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Becky’s Place in Raymond Hall will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A commencement lunch buffet at Thatcher Hall takes place from noon to 3 p.m.
