Skies in Massena and elsewhere along the St. Lawrence Seaway turned to a stark charcoal-and-black early Monday evening just before a brief storm hit. Photographer Bruce Dana of Morristown snapped photos of the storm progress, starting with threatening skies from the Home Depot / Walmart parking lot in Massena just before thunder and lightning struck and heavy rain pelted the region. “As I drove back towards Ogdensburg, there was a lot of standing water on the roads yet. By the time I reached Waddington the skies began to clear and a nice rainbow was seen behind Coles Creek Marina near Waddington,” he said.
