The New York State 2019 NYSPHSAA Basketball Class D champion Harrisville High School boys' basketball team and their coaches were invited to Albany yesterday to receive congratulations from Sen. Joseph Griffo, R-Rome, and Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush, R-Black River on their successful season.
The Pirates captured the state title after defeating Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville High School by a score of 67-54. They ended their impressive season with a 21-6 overall record.
The New York State Legislature recently adopted a legislative resolution honoring the Harrisville Boys Basketball team.
A Senate Resolution sponsored by Sen. Griffo was adopted on March 26, and Assemblyman Blankenbush sponsored an identical resolution in the Assembly, which was adopted on March 25.
