CANTON -- Eyal Kedar, MD, rheumatologist, has joined the medical staff at St. Lawrence Health System.
Dr. Kedar practices with Canton-Potsdam Hospital at the EJ Noble Professional Building at 80 East Main St., Canton. Kedar is the first and only rheumatologist to practice in St. Lawrence County.
In his specialty, he provides treatment for the full range of rheumatologic autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, scleroderma, Sjogren’s syndrome, sarcoidosis, and the various forms of spondyloarthritis, vasculitis and myositis.
Kedar received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, and completed his internal medicine residency at Kaiser Oakland Medical Center and Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. He completed a three-year combined clinical and research rheumatology fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he was appointed senior research fellow in 2013. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. He is also certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound (RMSK) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
